Everything to Everyone

10/21/03 - Barenaked Ladies released the new album "Everything to Everyone" today. I picked it up and am listening to it now. It's familiar, with less rock, almost more folk. I'm not quite sure. I don't like to make a review until I can let it all sink in. Right now the song that stands out to me is "For You." I love the sound.

Special Edition Everything to Everyone

The best deal out there is available for a limited time. If you buy the Special Edition, you get an additional DVD included that has the entire album in Surround, plus acoustic performances and other fun stuff. It's like getting more than two CDS for about $25. BNL has been including enhanced features in their CDs for years ahead of the current trend. After all, they're competing against "Free."

The band in a nutshell

by Bearnaked Joe

Steven Page - His lyrics somehow tell the stories of my life. His voice is playful and bold and fun to sing with. He's quietly brilliant.

Ed Robertson - The kind of guy you would want to invite to your housewarming party. Funny, charming, talented, and he can sing really fast. And with heart.

Jim Creeggan - Amazing bass player with a range of abilities. Wacky sense of music that is strong at the core.

Tyler Stewart - Mostly quiet... Until he says something that bring down the house. Tyler brings the rock.

Kevin Hearn - My hero. Kicked cancer's ass and brings a tremendous depth of sound and layer to BNL's music. He has a soft sense of humor but you just know there's something darker in there.
